How to Participate

The Medical Oncology Program is administered by AIM Specialty Health® on behalf of Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield-affiliated health plans (including Health Advantage and BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas). The first step in participating is to register as a user of the AIM ProviderPortalSM. The AIM ProviderPortal allows you to initiate the review of cancer treatment regimens for your patients*. We call this the “order request” process.

From the AIM ProviderPortal you can:

  • Initiate, update, and submit new order requests
  • Identify AIM Cancer Treatment Pathways
  • Retrieve your order summaries

When your practice initiates an order request using the AIM ProviderPortal, the order is evaluated for alignment with AIM Cancer Treatment Pathways and the medical coverage policy of the applicable Arkansas Blue Cross-affiliated health plan. A regimen that meets clinical criteria is approved in real time, and when your practice selects a designated AIM Cancer Treatment Pathway, you may be eligible for enhanced reimbursement**.

Note: Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Health Advantage and BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas are independent licensees of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.

AIM Specialty Health is not affiliated with Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Health Advantage or BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas or with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and is an independent company that provides utilization management services for physicians on behalf of Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield-affiliated health plans (including Health Advantage and BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas).
